JOB PURPOSE:

As part of a team, you will be building cloud based components that process and share data building and maintaining data stores and associated pipelines involved in the analysis of requirements and the design of solutions.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be part of projects that
  • Implement ETLs

    • Process large volumes of data; low latency; scalable

  • Data focused components

    • Stored large volumes of data

    • Multiple data storage types, e.g. relation DBs, text dbs, blob storage

  • Develop software that integrates domains

    • Utilised cloud infrastructure

    • Distributed systems

    • Utilised open-source software 

• Be involved in 

  • Analysis of requirements

  • Design of solutions

  • Breakdown of work

• Worked as part of a team that delivers via

  • Agile - contributed to ceremonies

  • Multidisciplinary and worked alongside

    • QAs to achieve automated build pipelines 

    • DevOps to achieve automated deployment pipelines

• Communicate ideas and concepts

  • Presentations to team

  • Data visualisations

• Compliance

  • Adhere to all applicable employment laws, regulations and internal policies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 - 7 Years of relevant experience 

• Has developed and can explain concepts of the following:

Coding

• Python

• Advantageous - Java

• Git repos

Datastores

• SQL

• Elasticsearch, Dynamo, AWS S3

Cloud experience

• Provisioning by code

• Discovery and evaluation of new services and approaches

• Excellent communication and written skills

• Computer literacy
