Business Development Manager
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for establishing and closing new business with prospective clients by selling and promoting all aspects of Isentia’s products and services. Success in this role is determined by a high close rate of high-value business deals, spanning the full suite of products. You will generate new business predominantly from outbound activity, and occasionally from inbound leads and marketing activities. Building strong relationships quickly is vital in this role, and running an in-depth consultative process, providing solutions to real business needs, will be key to success. The Business Development Manager will work closely with Client Success teams to ensure a successful transition and servicing of new clients’ requirements once established, maximizing the potential for ongoing growth of the client.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business relationships and generate profitable contracts to meet agreed sales targets.
Actively manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation and consultative problem-solving to final closing and handover.
Map target organizations using LinkedIn and other networks to identify key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Deliver effective and professional presentations on Isentia’s full suite of products, tailoring solutions to real business needs.
Maintain clean pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting records within Salesforce.com.
Collaborate closely with Client Success and onboarding teams to ensure a successful transition for new clients.
Profile
True Hunter: You are hungry, self-motivated, and energized by identifying target clients, driving proactive outbound activity, and closing deals.
SaaS or Media Experience Highly Preferred: You bring a background in media sales, SaaS, market issues, or competitor behavior to hit the ground running.
Proven Negotiator: You have 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar B2B consultative sales role with a demonstrated ability to close the deal under pressure.
Strategic Thinker: You possess proven capability in solution selling to Marketing and Communications Directors and Managers.
CRM Disciplined: You have experience managing your own sales opportunities and pipelines within a structured CRM tool like Salesforce.

BenefitsSalary $100,000 AUD - $120,000 NZD based on experience.
